PolyArk (Africa) Limited has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Application Engineer - Kenya in our Consulting & Integration group.

The Senior UI Developer (Graphic Artist) will Designs, develops, documents, implements, and maintains technology-based graphics and animations.

Essential Functions/Duties:

Responsible for the design, development, documentation, implementation, and support of technology-based UI graphics/animations and scripting using Flash, Ajax, Photoshop, PHP, SCORM, Illustrator, Perl, MVC, ASP.Net 3.5, ActionScript, JSP, JQuery, and other UI development tools.
Provide technology developments in numerous Enterprise systems
Create functional specifications and design specifications
Ensure optimum performance, scalability, and usability with solid architectural standards
Experience with .NET and J2EE, and scripting technology platforms
Coordinates with third-party providers and offshore teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Qualifications:

Self starter and able to perform with minimal supervision
Must have strong hands on graphics/animation and scripting development experience as well as best practices, design principles, and techniques
8 years experience in Graphics and Animation designs
5 years experience in UI and scripting development tools
Platforms: Unix, Linux, Windows
RDBMS: MS SQL, Oracle, IBM UDB/DB2, MySQL
BS degree (Advanced degree preferred).
